Bozosapien is an artist and producer out of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. He started writing lyrics as a healthy coping mechanism to overcome his struggles as a teen. Over the years those lyrics have progressed into something more finely tuned and tailored to communicate his message of “Staying Zany.” Zany is an emoji, and represents how he understands life and music. It should be fun and playful. However Bozo doesn’t shy away from intimately emotional topics rooted in his experiences. The overall message is that “Staying Zany” is all about overcoming barriers and making the most out of any situation. 

He also realized that there should be no barrier to his creative expression and started making his own beats on an Akai MPC. That then grew into making beats on Ableton, and also selling them. His beats range from bass heavy trap, to boom bap, to r&b to pop. He is influenced by artists such as Lil Jon, Immortal Technique, Ludacris, Classified, XXXtentacion, Capital Steez, Ghostemane, Seven arm’d Labyrinth, Jedi Mind Tricks, The Fugees, J Dilla, Big Pun and Kanye West just to name a few. 

Collaborating with other artists and building the hip hop culture and community is also a priority for Bozosapien. He capitalizes on artists certain strengths to make the music impactful, timeless and zany. 

Currently he has a few shows under his belt, most notably opening for Madchild at Marquee in Calgary Alberta. He was an intern and teaching assistant at Beat Drop, which runs out of the national music centre where he acquired his production masters certificate He also volunteered with ReFreshed, a project launched by The Freed Artist Society that serves vulnerable youth in Calgary and Treaty 7 First Nations communities through strength and resiliency based arts programs and projects.
